In the six months since the financial crisis nearly brought down the global economy, stricter conditions and regulations have made business extremely challenging for Deutsche Global Invest, the world's third-largest bank. Under the leadership of CHRISTELLE LEBLANC (Désirée Nosbusch), who aims to ascend to the Global Board of Directors, even ambitious investment banker JANA LIEKAM (Paula Beer) struggles, finding her and her team (THAO, ADAM, SHANTIMAY) constrained by circumstances. Despite this, Jana seizes an opportunity when sent to Berlin by Leblanc for a new mission, all while harboring secret ambitions of her own due to lingering resentment towards her boss. Berlin, with its rich history and status as a critical European financial hub, presents both opportunities and challenges for Jana as she navigates the city's thriving startup and fintech scene.
