Ashionye, a reluctant Nigerian Shaman based in southern England, takes on the task of investigating and expelling a malevolent spirit tormenting her old family friend Isioma Williams' family following the death of Isioma's estranged husband Magnus. Despite her demon-hunting partner Marv Taylor's objections, Ashionye accepts this job to repay a debt to Isioma. As she delves deeper into the situation, Ashionye discovers she is confronting a familiar force responsible for her own childhood trauma.
